Boston area --for vintage recording gear and vintage amps, call Roy Goode (617)576-7901. He has old tube mics, compressors, etc. He's really hard to contact he tends to limit his services to a few special big spenders like J Geils, George Harrison, the Hooters, Duke Robilard, Ronnie Earle, etc. but if you have something in particular you want, call and leave your 'wants' on his answering machine. He provided George Harrison with a tweed tweed, an Echoplex (tube version) and a Gretch 6120 for that special with Carl Perkins, for example. --for cool (and some vintage) recording gear, like mics, single channels from old class A and tube mixing boards (patch these thru an effects loop.
